Prior to working in the field of cosmetic medicine, Mary worked in neuro-surgical nursing before taking on the position of Team Leader of the Intensive Care Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital.

Mary became a qualified nurse injector through the Australian Academy of Cosmetic Medicine and Surgery.
