Aren't lip fillers for women?
No way! Lip fillers are a hugely popular treatment for men and we see plenty of male patients in our clinics wanting to improve the shape and size of their lips.
Just like women, men are concerned with the thinness of their lips affecting their smile, or a loss of volume in their lips making them look older.
We treat each and every patient as an individual; every face is unique with its own requirements and concerns. Our lip enhancement treatments are for everyone, and we welcome our male patients with the same respect and comfort as our female patients.
For our men’s lip filler treatments, we consider the desired outcome specific to a male aesthetic, and we are experts in achieving results that are natural looking and masculine.
Will lip fillers make me look fake?
We have seen patients who have received poorly placed lip fillers elsewhere, or their fillers have been overdone, resulting in a duck-face pout. We specialise in correcting these undesirable looks.
Rest assured, at Contour Clinics we prioritise a natural look, so that your result is believably refreshed, not fake.
Are lip fillers painful?
At Contour Clinics, we pride ourselves on being the cosmetic injectable experts. Using the latest in injecting techniques, lip fillers performed by our practitioners are minimally uncomfortable.
Importantly, Contour Clinics only use lip fillers with a built-in local anaesthetic. This combined with ice packs, topical anaesthetic (numbing cream) and the option of a dental block or happy gas (Entonox) makes lip fillers at Contour Clinics some of the most comfortable available.
What are the risks of lip fillers?
It’s extremely rare to see any serious complications of lip filler treatments.
Patients may experience some swelling post treatment, and in some cases very minor bruising. These settle within 1-3 days. We encourage LED light therapy post treatment to decrease the risk of bruising, however this side effect is rare.
