How Does This Treatment Work?

A thread lift for the nose is commonly referred to as the “lunchtime nose job” as it can be completed in under an hour with minimal downtime.

The number of threads required varies across individuals, their nose shape and desired result. A consultation with one of our expert doctors will allow them to assess the structure of your nose along with your desired results. For most patients, multiple threads are used and, in some cases, over the course of several sessions.

Prior to the insertion of the suture, topical anaesthetic will be applied to your nose and surrounding area to reduce any pain or discomfort. The doctor will then place fine threads under the soft tissue of the nose. They are placed horizontally along the nasal bridge for height, and the septum for increased projection. The threads are placed vertically into the nose tip for elevation.

Once the threads are inserted, they act as a scaffold structure so our expert cosmetic doctor can pull the threads to achieve the desired lift and shape. The threads also act as a collagen stimulator which promotes the long-lasting lifting effect to the nose. The ends of the thread are then trimmed to remove any visible trace of their placement. There is minimal downtime, and your nose may feel a bit sore for 2 to 3 days post-treatment. The results last for 1 year and in some cases, up to 2 years. This is best for those with an ill-defined nasal bridge, a droopy tip, a thicker nose or a fuller nose tip looking to achieve a smaller and more refined nose or a wide nose bridge.

What Can I Expect After My Treatment? 

The Nose Thread Lift Sydney treatment is a minimally invasive treatment requiring little downtime. Treatment is completed in approximately 30 minutes and patients are generally able to return to their daily activities immediately after. An after-care procedure will be provided to you in clinic.

Is It Painful?

We use local anaesthetic through topical numbing cream or provide happy gas (nitrous oxide) to ease the experience when undergoing the treatment. This way, there is no pain experienced during the treatment. Most patients feel a pushing sensation when the threads are being inserted into the nose.
