Is a thread lift to the brows safe?

The procedure uses dissolving biocompatible threads. These threads are composed of the same types of material used in a general operation (e.g. removing an appendix).
The most common risks of the brow lift include swelling and bruising that are short-lived. Your cosmetic doctor will discuss all the risks of the procedure as they relate to you during your complimentary consultation.
Is a brow lift with threads painful?
A brow lift with threads is performed under local anaesthetic. The anaesthetic has a slight sting. However, after the anaesthetic is administered, there is no pain associated with the procedure.
Will I have a scar after my brow thread lift?
Brow threadlifts are a minimally invasive procedure with no scalpels or stitches. The risk of scarring is rare.
What is the downtime of a brow lift with threads?
Thread brow lifts in the majority of cases tend to heal in 7-10 days as swelling and bruising settle. However, some of our patients experience very little in the way of bruising or swelling. It all comes down to the individual.
How long will a brow lift with threads last?
PDO threads tend to last 6-12 months, depending on your lifestyle and activity level. For longer-lasting results, a repeat procedure is advisable.
In contrast, brow lifts using dermal treatments often last 9-18 months and a chemical brow lift lasts between 3-4 months.
Will my skin be more saggy after the threads dissolve?
No. In fact, your skin will likely be firmer, as threads stimulate collagen once inserted. With this boost to collagen production, the skin laxity can be addressed and the signs of wrinkles lessened.
What is the downtime associated with dermal treatment brow lifts?
All patients differ in their degree of swelling and downtime.
In general, there is minimal downtime associated with this procedure. You may notice 1-3 days of swelling, bruising, and tenderness that can, in most cases, be managed by cold compresses and simple analgesia.
Does a chemical brow lift change eye shape?
No. A chemical brow lift will have no impact on eye shape.
Is a chemical brow lift instant?
No. Chemical brow lifts tend to take 3-5 days to show an effect. The maximal effect often shows at the 2-week mark.
