How does the Facetite work?
FaceTite is a minimally invasive procedure that employs radiofrequency energy to target sagging facial tissues, reduce subcutaneous fat, and tighten loose skin. Often described as an alternative to traditional facelift surgery, it utilises a slender probe to deliver precise radiofrequency heat beneath the skin, promoting contraction of both deeper tissues and surface skin layers.
The device incorporates dual temperature control technology, continuously monitoring internal and external tissue temperatures. This helps ensure precise energy delivery, minimising the risk of excessive heating or tissue damage.
Typically, FaceTite procedures are performed in a clinical setting under local anaesthesia. Rather than large incisions, the procedure involves small, needle-sized entry points which generally heal without the need for stitches.
The treatment duration is approximately one hour, and most patients report tolerating the procedure comfortably.
Patients can observe initial tightening effects shortly after treatment, with progressive improvements typically seen over the following 3 to 6 months as collagen production increases and skin elasticity improves.
Is Facetite worth it?
Results vary from person to person, depending on individual circumstances and goals of treatment.
Having performed hundreds of Facetite procedures at Contour Clinics, satisfaction rates for this procedure were variable. Whilst it did provide tightening and lifting in most cases, whether results were proportional to the downtime and expense were the main points of concern for our patients. It is for this reason, in general we decided as a brand to discontinue the Facetite treatment here at Contour Clinics.
Am I a candidate for Facetite?
In general, the best candidates for Facetite have mild facial drooping or skin laxity with realistic expectations. We found over the years of performing this treatment that younger patients with lower facial fullness and mild jowling were the most satisfied with the results post Facetite.
