Can the Fox Eye Lift be done with muscle relaxants?
No. The lift provided by relaxing muscles responsible for wrinkles and pulling down the brow cannot reliably ever produce the same results as a Fox Eye thread lift.
If you’re interested in restoring skin firmness around the eye area and face, consider scheduling an anti-wrinkle treatment.
Can the Fox Eye lift be done by placing volume under the brow?
No. Alone, placing volume underneath the outer corner of the brow, or volumising the temple hollow can produce a very mild lift. However, it won’t create the desired shape or lift traditional of a Fox Eye thread lift.
Will I have a scar after my Fox Eye thread lift procedure?
Anytime we pierce the skin with a needle, as is required in a Fox Eye thread lift, there is always a risk of scarring. The risk is however quite rare, as the needle used is the same size as one used if you were to donate blood. Additionally, the face typically heals very well.
However, those who are predisposed or have a history of keloid may experience scarring from the procedure. It’s best to discuss these concerns during your initial consultation.
Are Fox Eye thread lift treatments painful?
Fox Eye thread lift treatments are generally well-tolerated, and most patients report only mild discomfort during the procedure.
At Contour Clinics, patient comfort is always our priority. Before your treatment begins, our clinicians apply a topical numbing cream and can offer additional comfort measures, such as nitrous oxide gas (if clinically indicated), to ensure the procedure remains comfortable throughout.
During the procedure, you might feel slight pressure or mild sensations, but any significant pain is uncommon. Our experienced clinicians carefully guide you through each step, prioritising gentle technique and precise placement of threads to minimise discomfort.
Who isn't eligible for the Fox Eye thread lift treatment?
The treatment is not recommended for pregnant women, owing to the use of local anaesthetic during the procedure. Any other party with concerns around anaesthesia should discuss this with your doctor before the procedure.
What is the downtime associated with a Fox Eye thread lift?
The Fox Eye thread lift typically has a 7-10 day downtime. This timeline is generally when swelling and bruising settles.
The extent of swelling and bruising are variable depending on the individual. You may experience minimal to no swelling/bruising, or mild-moderate bruising/swelling that lasts up to 10 days
Typically, if you are to experience swelling, it will peak on day 2-3 and continue to get better from that point onwards.
How long will Fox Eye thread lift results last?
PDO threads for our Fox Eye treatment fast 6-12 months depending on your lifestyle and activity level.
For longer lasting results a repeat procedure is advisable at 6 months.
Will my skin be more saggy after the threads dissolve?
No. In fact, it is more likely that your skin will likely be more firm, as threads stimulate collagen to be produced that makes the skin less prone to sagging or wrinkles. However, there is no guarantee of a cosmetic result.
You should discuss with your treating doctor the likely outcome as it relates to your unique circumstances at your consultation.
What do I have to avoid after the Fox Eye thread lift treatment?
You should avoid alcohol and exercise for 2 days post procedure.
You should not perform strenuous exercise for 2 weeks after the exercises. Most importantly, no running/skipping/jumping/heavy lifting.
Avoid rubbing the treated area for 2 weeks post procedure.
