How do nipple filler injections work?
Dermal filler provides volume and shape to the nipple.
Using hyaluronic acid filler, similar to that used in the lips, volume is added starting at the base of the nipple.
The filler used is soft and mimics the natural tone and feel of the nipple.
How are nipple filler injections performed?
They are performed under local anaesthetic. This numbs the nipple entirely to allow comfortable placement of dermal filler.
Dermal filler is expertly placed at the base of the nipple. The nipple is volumised to the point your aesthetic goals are achieved.
Are Nipple fillers common?
Yes. This is a very commonly used procedure worldwide in breast reconstruction.
Is there any recovery time?
Recovery time for nipple filler includes swelling and mild redness that lasts 1-3 days.
You can return to your usual daily activities immediately after the procedure.
Does nipple filler alter the sensation of the nipple?
There is a rare risk of decreased sensation. This is very uncommon and usually due to over-treatment.
Most of our patients do not complain of this concern.
