Is It Worth Getting Cheek Fillers?
Cheek fillers Sydney treatments are one of our most highly rated cosmetic procedures. Whether it be for replacing lost cheek volume, improving cheek structure, reducing a gaunt appearance, supporting the tear trough region, or simply improving the aesthetic appearance of your cheeks, this has almost universally been rated as a “worth it” treatment.
Will Cheek Fillers Lift My Face?
This is a contentious issue in cosmetic injectables. One of the main causes of facial sagging is the loss of volume from facial fat compartments. It has been proposed by various prominent cosmetic injectors worldwide that filling the cheeks can lift facial structures, particularly the nasolabial folds.
In our experience the actual “lift” achieved from cheek filler is minimal. This is supported by research demonstrating no improvement in nasolabial folds after placement of cheek filler.
Cheek filler should be used to provide structure to the cheek bones, volumise the sub malar under cheek area, or revolumise mid cheek flattening. Treating the mid cheek area can also help with restoring the youthful appearance of the under eye region.
Can I Get Dermal Fillers While Pregnant or Breastfeeding?
No. We do not recommend dermal fillers while pregnant or Breastfeeding.
Who Is an Ideal Candidate for Cheek Fillers Sydney?
You are an ideal candidate for Cheek Fillers in Sydney if you are in generally good health, want to restore volume or structure to the cheek bones and have a reasonable expectation regarding treatment outcomes.
Volume can be restored to three main areas of the cheek:
- Mid cheek- this area tends to lose volume with age, which leads to a lack of support of the under-eye region, a flattened midface, and a worsening of the tear trough region
- Lateral (outer) cheek – this is the part of the cheek that gives the cheekbone its youthful structure. This is a popular treatment area for those wishing to aesthetically enhance their cheek bones
- Sub malar – this is the area just under the cheek bones. Volume loss in this area can make you appear gaunt and drawn. This is a common treatment area for those with volume loss due to age, or exercise.
