Cosmetic Doctor, BMed/MD, Master of SurgeryMED0001860617
Dr Cindy Wang came to cosmetic medicine via general surgery and emergency medicine. It’s a background that gives her the fine motor skills and anatomical understanding that the discipline demands.
Dr Cindy trained as an advanced emergency medicine trainee with the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine and as a surgical trainee with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. These experiences created a clinical foundation that shaped the precision and anatomical depth she brings to cosmetic medicine today.
Her benchmark is straightforward – she only recommends something she would be comfortable choosing for herself or someone she cares about.
Dr Cindy enjoys working with proactive patients, with a focus on considered, preventative approaches to skin health and aesthetics. She has a particular interest in aesthetic approaches that complement and honour Asian facial features.
Cosmetic medicine can feel like an overwhelming space – a concept that Dr Cindy understands from her own early experiences as a cosmetic patient. She takes time to understand the “why” behind a patient’s goals, then builds a treatment plan initially addressing their top two priorities. She tailors every plan to her patient’s age, occupation and stage of life, with a clear timeline and a range of suitable options.
Dr Cindy genuinely enjoys the relationships she builds with her patients – hearing about their milestones and setbacks, and being a consistent presence over time.
A serial hobbyist, Dr Cindy’s hobby is picking up new ones – the latest is ikebana, the Japanese art of floral arrangement. She likes visiting art galleries and reading – she’s currently working her way through the cosy fantasy genre.
