What precautions should I take before treatment?
Prior to your appointment, we recommend you wear comfortable clothes and shoes to ensure a smooth session. Be sure that the area you are treating is free of makeup, skin creams and has been cleansed prior to treatment. Is Potenza radiofrequency microneedling painful?
After topical anaesthetic (numbing cream) is applied, there is minimal discomfort.
The device uses ultra-thin needles, which further reduces any pain associated with the procedure.
Nitrous Oxide (happy gas) can be utilised if required to improve comfort.
What can I expect after my treatment?
During the treatment, some individuals may experience very small pinpoint bleeding, which is normal. You can resume normal activities immediately after treatment, and you are able to wear makeup the following day.
Immediately after treatment, mild swelling, redness, or irritation is also normal. You may use ice packs every two hours for 20 minutes at a time for the first 24 hours post-treatment to assist with any discomfort or swelling. This generally clears up after two to three days post-treatment. You will need to protect the treated area with SPF 50 sunblock. Do not scratch or scrub the treated area.
