How often should I get a facial?
We recommend having The Signature Facial on a regular basis; every 4–6 weeks is ideal.
That is just the right amount of time to keep on top of your extractions and retain the freshness and clarity of your skin.
If you let it go a lot longer, you then risk pore-clogging build-up and may end up starting from scratch.
You can absolutely get a single deep cleansing facial as a one-off treatment and still see results; your skin will be noticeably softer, cleaner and brighter after one session.
However, we usually recommend a course of at least three deep cleansing facials, each spaced a month apart, for optimum results.
Can I apply makeup after my facial?
Yes, you can wear makeup after your facial – there is no reason why this isn’t possible.
However, many patients go without makeup for the 12–24 hours that follow, simply to let their skin breathe – it’s down to personal preference.
How should I take care of my skin post-treatment?
Following a deep cleansing facial, or any skin treatment that breaks down dead skin cells to reveal new skin, your skin will be more delicate or vulnerable than usual. That’s why it’s crucial that you are careful to avoid UV exposure.
Wearing sunscreen is an obvious solution. If you prefer not to apply anything to your face straight after your facial, ensure you stay indoors and out of sunlight.
Your dermal therapist will recommend a bespoke skincare regimen tailored to your unique needs, so be sure to follow this diligently for your best results.
What's the difference between a regular facial and The Signature Facial?
In a deep cleansing facial such as The Signature Facial, medical-grade active ingredients can penetrate deeply, so it’s next-level effective.
Basic facials are quite straightforward; a deep cleansing facial more involved. It’s a two-part treatment – antibacterial oxygen and hydration is pushed into the skin, prepping the complexion for extraction.
Are there any side effects to The Signature Facial?
Some patients may experience some redness immediately after having extraction, as this process causes minor, temporary inflammation in the spot-treated areas. This goes away within 8 hours.
It’s possible you may experience a breakout following a deep cleansing facial. This is nothing to be concerned about – it’s actually a positive sign of clarification, as your skin is successfully purging itself of toxins or blockages.
