Understanding your Treatment How does Penis Enlargement with Dermal Fillers work?

The Contour Clinics Penis Enlargement is a safe, effective, simple procedure done under local anaesthetic in our purpose built facilities in Sydney and Brisbane.

Penis enlargement, Girth and Length 

Penis enlargements at Contour Clinics involve the use of either Hyaluronic Acid (gel) filler or Collagen Stimulating filler.

Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers use a product essentially identical to that placed in the face for cosmetic improvements. They last 2-5 years and can be easily reversed. They have been used for over 20 years with an excellent safety profile.

Collagen Stimulating Fillers provide much greater longevity (5 years +), and more natural feel than Hyaluronic Acid fillers. However, a potential downside is that they cannot be reversed in case of cosmetic or medical complication.

After numbing of the penis, either product can be placed between the superficial and deep fascia of the penis. This is within a fatty layer, which allows the filler to disperse symmetrically and smoothly. Anywhere from 7-25ml are placed per session to provide a thicker, longer more impressive penis.

Glans Enhancment (Head of Penis) 

Hyaluronic Acid filler can be placed into the head of the glans to increase size and decrease head of the penis sensation. This can be a game-changer for those experiencing premature ejaculation.

What if I’ve already had a penis enlargement? Can I have it redone?

What if I'm circumcised/not circumcised?

Whether you’re circumcised or not does not matter for this procedure.

Can this treatment correct Peyronies?

If you suffer from curvature of the penis caused by the buildup of scar tissue, this treatment can help improve symmetry. However, dermal filler penis enlargements are not the treatment of choice for Peyronies.

Severe Peyronies will require consultation with a urologist for surgical correction.

Can dermal filler to the glans (Head of the penis) help with premature ejaculation?

Yes. Dermal filler to the glans can increase glans size, and improve lasting power in the bedroom.

Very good studies show impressive improvements in premature ejaculation. Results showed a 4-5 fold increase in the time until ejaculation.

Will my penis function normally afterwards?

Yes, your Contour Clinics penis enlargement should have no detrimental impact on your erection, sensation or orgasm. Your erections should feel just as firm. Some of our patients report stronger erections than they had prior to the procedure.

Is the procedure safe?

Injection of hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler into the penis has been around for a long time. The procedure has been extensively studied and shown to be a safe and effective way to increase the size of the penis.

The procedure works in a similar way to injecting dermal filler into other parts of the body.

  1. The filler is injected under the skin after a series of anesthetics are applied.
  2. After 1-2 weeks the filler is naturally integrated into the penis tissue. During this initial period, it can be massaged to smooth out any bumps and to ensure a consistent and even spread.
  3. Following this, the filler stabilises and absorbs water and looks its best.
  4. Your body then slowly starts to metabolise the filler back into the body.

In the rare event of any complications, HAs are completely and rapidly reversible.

If you’re considering another dermal filler product, your doctor will explain the potential risks and side-effects, including the ability to break-down the product if required.

What are the potential complications?

Complications from this procedure are rare, but you may experience:

  • Bruising and tenderness – while this varies patient to patient, most will see some form of bruising within a few days of treatment.
  • Swelling – As your body reacts to the filler you’ll find mild to moderate swelling that can last anywhere from 1-10 days.
  • Assymetry – Rarely, you may find parts that are not completely symmetrical. If this occurs your doctor will review in your follow up sessions and correct where required. Due to impossible to identify natural tissue bands under the skin, perfect symmetry may not be achieved in your initial treatment session. This is why we chose to provide a complimentary review at 1 week post procedure to top up any asymmetry as required.
  • Granulomas – The possible hardening of product forming a lump. These are rare and are thought to be due to an autoimmune reaction. This has never been reported in the penis, but occurs for dermal fillers in the face at a rate of 1:5000.
  • Infection – We perform all procedures in our luxurious and highly sterilised clinics. All of our patients are placed on prophylactic antibiotics to reduce the risk of infection occurring.

What products do you use?

It is our opinion that non-permanent fillers are the only safe option when it comes to improving penile size and girth:

Hyaluronic acid filler (or HA). HA is a naturally occurring sugar found in the body and holds a thousand times its weight in water to help maintain moisture in our skin and joints. Hyaluronic acid is TGA approved in Australia and is used in millions of safe procedures each year. A single treatment lasts anywhere from 2-5 years depending on your metabolism.

Collagen stimulating filler is a semi-permanent filler. In the rare case of complication it cannot be reversed. It is for that reason we do not offer this treatment at Contour Clinics.

Australian laws mean we can’t state or promote the full chemical or brand name of any regulated medication. During your confidential consultation, your doctor will happily clarify the range of products they use.

Can dermal filler used in penis enlargements migrate?

No. There is no evidence filler migrates when placed in the correct anatomical layer during a penis enlargement procedure.

We use a highly cross linked/cohesive/elastic hyaluronic acid filler with a high HA concentration. It’s cohesive and highly cross-linked nature means it has a tendency to stay where it is placed and its elastic nature means it can withstand the significant shear forces involved in intimate encounters.

Whilst filler can be moulded for the first 2 weeks post procedure (actually helpful as it allows smoothing of bumps), it then integrates slowly with the penile tissue to become fixed in place.

Will I have lumps and bumps after my penis enlargement procedure?

In our expert hands this is a rare complication. Refining of injection techniques over the past decade have seen this become less of a concern.

Our recommended aftercare and follow up schedule ensures that your resulting enlargement is smooth, symmetrical and evenly distributed (lump/bump free) to give you a thicker more aesthetically pleasing penis post procedure.

Does penis enlargement at Contour Clinics hurt?

Most patients do not experience any discomfort or pain during the procedure. Local anaesthetic is applied to the base of the penis, which numbs the entire penis for the duration of the procedure. The procedure is then performed without discomfort for the patient.

What happens before my penis enlargement procedure?

As with any cosmetic surgery, you should conduct research and consider whether it’s right for you. There are many resources scattered across the internet, a lot of them dubious so be wary of what you read.

What happens during my penis enlargement consultation?

What happens during the penis enlargement procedure?

Before we start, you’ll need to trim your pubic hair. Ideally, you’ll do this in the days coming up to your treatment so we have a clear view of the terrain.

Then the first step is the application of a local anaesthetic to ensure you don’t feel a thing.

Your doctor will then use a smooth cannula to insert the filler along the shaft of your penis.

What happens after my penis enlargement procedure?

Most men who undergo a penis enlargement at Contour Clinics drive themselves back to work or their daily activities immediately after their procedure.

Immediately afterwards, your doctor will bandage up the area to minimise swelling. You should keep this bandage on for as long as possible (at least a few days).

For roughly two weeks the product will be slightly malleable which means you can, very carefully, massage out any irregularities or bumps.

This means you should avoid sex or masturbation for 1 week.

Unless prescribed you should avoid the use of blood-thinning medications, anti-inflammatory drugs, steroids, St John’s Wort and Vitamin E as they may interact negatively with dermal filler.

When can I return to sexual activity after my penis enlargement procedure?

You may return to sexual activity 1 week post procedure. This is allow injection points to heal and reduce the risk of infection.

When will I see results from my penis enlargement?

Results are instant, and improve overtime as the filler settles in to the surrounding tissue.

How much bigger will I be after penis enlargement with dermal fillers?

You’ll get a noticeable increase in the girth of your penis. As the dermal filler is volume-based results are like for like. The size increase is directly proportional to the amount of filler injected. The more filler, the more impressive the result.

As a guide, size improvements are roughly:

  • 10ml – Flaccid girth 1 inch
  • 15ml – Flaccid girth 1.3-1.5 inches
  • 20ml – Flaccid girth 1.6-1.8 inches

Results very much depend on your baseline size. The longer the penis at baseline, the more filler required to give improvements in girth.

Limitations in size improvements depend on your baseline size. We aim to impressively increase penile volume, but maintain symmetry and penile aesthetics. Hence, very large volumes over 20ml may not be suitable for all patients.

How long will my results last after penis enlargement?

Depending on the type of filler you use results can last from 2-5 years. After the first 24 months, your body will naturally start to break down and metabolise the filler.

Studies from Korea showed 90% preservation of the injected hyaluronic acid dermal filler at 18 months post enlargement.

Most patients return for regular top ups of 5-10ml every 18-24 months. This is mostly because they want to be larger, not because their filler is not lasting.

What happens if my body breaks down and absorbs the dermal filler quicker than expected?

Some men break down dermal fillers faster than others due to faster metabolisms. Unfortunately, we can’t tell whether this will happen to you before your procedure. Rest assured, Dr Kenny will check this during your follow-up consultations and, if your body has started to absorb your original filler faster than expected, he can supplement the original filler.

Remember – we’re committed to giving you a result, not a treatment.

How quickly can I get a follow up treatment?

If you’re visiting our clinics from interstate, we can perform up to two procedures within seven days, as long as all swelling has subsided.

Will my partner notice the growth after my penis enlargement procedure?

Many patients report that their sexual partners definitely feel an increase in girth, especially with larger volumes.

Where will the dermal filler be injected?

The parts of your penis that fill up with blood when you get an erection are the paired Corpus Cavernosa. These two erectile organs sit on top of the urethra, which itself is surrounded by expansile erectile tissue. All three vital pieces of equipment are wrapped up by a piece of connective tissue known as the deep fascia (otherwise known as Buck’s fascia). Closer to the skin’s surface you have a second fascia known as the superficial fascia.

Think of these fasciae as layers of cling wrap. One wraps around the erectile tissue (the corpora and urethra) and the other sticks to the skin. In between the fascia lies a layer of loose areolar tissue or fat.

It’s in this layer of fat that our Medical Director Dr Josh Wall will carefully inject either hyaluronic acid or a collagen-stimulating filler using a specialised needle known as a cannula.

How is the dermal filler injected?

The Contour Clinics technique may vary depending on your needs but it most frequently works by inserting the cannula at the base of your shaft, gliding it through the loose areolar tissue between the superficial and deep fascia and cautiously backfilling. Doing this allows for a smooth and even distribution of the filler.

How much dermal filler will I need?

How much product you need will depend on your size goals, as well as your baseline girth and length. Size increases will be impressive regardless of the package you choose.

With a 10ml package you can expect up to 1 inch improvement in flaccid circumference. Those choosing a 15-20ml package can see results up to 1.3-1.8 inches larger flaccid circumference.

Many of our patients choose to top up their filler if additional size is desired. You can do this any time from 2 weeks post procedure.

Can I get a bigger glans/head?

Yes, this is certainly possible. We inject 3ml to the glans to improve its aesthetic and size. This is the perfect treatment to decrease the symptoms of premature ejaculation, as placing dermal filler into the upper layers of the glans decreases sensation, significantly improving your lasting power.

Can I regularly top up my penis enlargement filler?

Yes. Many of our patients choose to regularly top up their filler monthly to achieve their final size goals.
