Your facial experience: What to expect
Cleansing
To begin, your dermal therapist will use a few drops of aromatherapy essential oil to promote a state of relaxation and signal the start of the treatment.
The first part of your facial will be to cleanse the skin, preparing it for the next steps. Your therapist will double cleanse the skin with a medical-grade cleanser and hot towel.
Oxygen Mask
Your therapist will apply Société Oxygenation Cream to the entire face, neck and décolletage. Next, they will apply Société Catalyst Activator and massage this into your skin.
To optimise the penetration of this mask and maximise its effects, this step will be performed with the use of steam therapy.
After allowing some minutes for the two-step Oxygenation mask to work its magic, your therapist will gently remove the mask with a warm, moistened towel.
Ultrasonic Extraction
After the gently softening effects of the steam therapy and oxygen treatment, your skin is ready for the ultrasonic device to be applied.
Your therapist will glide the microcurrent device on the skin, gently expelling sebaceous filament, dirt, oil and other impurities.
Your therapist will also perform manual extractions if necessary to spot-treat larger blemishes.
Facial Massage
Next, your therapist will perform a mild lymphatic drainage massage designed to de-puff the skin.
Using dermatological ice globes, they will begin on the forehead working down the face and neck. These therapeutic ice globes will also help calm any inflammation following your extraction.
Mask and Massage
This stage incorporates a soothing and deeply moisturising hydrojelly face mask, along with a relaxing face, neck and décolleté massage, using therapeutic oil and focusing on gently relieving tension points.
If you prefer, you can choose to have a neck and décolleté exfoliation treatment using Cosmedix Blueberry Smoothie Peel instead of massage.
Your therapist will select a hydrojelly mask appropriate for your skin type and concerns.
The hydrojelly mask will be applied to the entire face, and if you are comfortable, can also be applied over the eyes and lips.
While the mask is on, deeply hydrating your skin, your therapist will perform a relaxing neck, trapezius and décolleté massage.
Following your massage or exfoliation, your therapist will remove the hydrojelly mask and massage oil with a hot towel.
At this point, you may wish to boost your facial by adding on the option of LED light therapy.
Ultrasonic Infusion
Next, application of the luxurious and multi-active Ilumaé The Quartet peptide serum is infused into the skin by ultrasonic technology, providing a powerfully nourishing phase to the facial.
Skincare
Your therapist will conclude the treatment by applying skincare that’s appropriate for your unique concerns and skin type.
Your facial treatment will be finished with the application of skincare products that your therapist finds suitable for your skin, such as hyaluronic acid serum, moisturiser and SPF.
