Treatment Overview

Vaginal PRP treatment helps women struggling with sexual intimacy by improving natural lubrication, sensitivity and arousal. These issues can affect women of any age, but tend to increase as we get older.

Sexual dysfunction after giving birth or due to a natural decline in estrogen as we age causes many women to experience symptoms such as dryness, inflammation, pain during sex, urinary incontinence and laxity, which impacts sexual comfort, reduces orgasmic response and often affects the desire for intimacy. By removing or reducing these symptoms, women can enhance their sexual response and desire.

The PRP procedure involves the extraction of highly concentrated Platelet Rich Plasma (abbreviated to PRP), followed by a very specific method of re-injecting of the PRP to amplify and augment the areas of vaginal tissue affecting intimate sensitivity.

PRP is a 100% natural skin and tissue regeneration therapy that has been used for decades in wound healing, dentistry and in the treatment of sports injuries. PRP activates stem cells and releases growth factors to trigger tissue repair and the formation of new blood vessels. This healing process helps to rejuvenate the vaginal areas essential for sexual stimulation.

The procedure is performed with numbing agent so the whole process is quite comfortable and relaxed throughout. This is a walk-in / walk-out procedure with minimal or no downtime, although we recommend a few days before re-engaging in sexual activity.

Results

Vaginal PRP procedures have helped thousands of women enjoy a healthy sex life. Almost all our patients have noted an increase in their sexual response, and many have said the procedure has been life-changing.

Most patients experience an increase in sexual stimulation and pleasure in the first 3-7 days, with results continuing to improve over the next 3 months.

While results vary from patient to patient, results from an O-Shot procedure are long-lasting, usually from 12-18 months.

What to expect

It’s our mission to make you feel comfortable and cared for and that your intimate concerns are treated with respect and understanding. At Pavilion Cosmetic Medicine, we offer trusted and effective treatments for a range of intimate rejuvenation treatments.

You’ll first meet with one our experienced female practitioner who will listen to and assess your concerns and explain the best treatment plan to achieve the outcomes you desire.

If you’re a suitable candidate, in most cases you can have your O-Shot treatment straight after your consultation.

The area is pre-numbed so the whole procedure should be quite comfortable and relaxed.

The procedure itself starts in the same way as our other PRP treatments for skin rejuvenation or hair restoration. Your practitioner will take a small draw of your blood from your arm, from which we extract the highly concentrated platelet rich plasma.

This PRP is then activated and reinjected into the areas of vaginal tissue essential for sexual stimulation, including an areas near the clitoris and just inside the vagina. The procedure takes about 30 minutes.

There is no downtime following the O-Shot PRP procedure, although you may experience mild swelling and increased sensitivity in the area for 1-2 days. Light spotting immediately after the procedure can also occur, which should stop within a couple days. We recommend no sexual activity for a couple days.
