A mini facelift is performed under general anaesthesia. You will feel no discomfort or pain during the procedure. A mini face lift still requires surgical incisions, just not as many compared to a traditional facelift.

An incision is made above, in front and behind the ear. The skin is then lifted from the subcutaneous tissue, tightening the deep layer of the face and muscles. The excess skin is then removed and sutures are placed along the incision site. Sutures are usually dissolvable and, in most cases, do not need to be removed.

How long does it take to recover?

A full facelift generally takes around 4-5 of operating time. It is highly recommended for an overnight stay at the hospital for monitoring in case any excessive bleeding occurs, or you experience any adverse reactions.

It may be that your surgeon will allow you to discharge the hospital on the same day for a mini facelift procedure.

In most cases, recovery time is generally around one to two weeks. Sutures are removed one week. It is strongly advised to wait until 10 days post-surgery to commence normal day to day activities.

Will there be scars?

Unfortunately, any procedure that involves incisions is prone to potential scarring. Fortunately, the areas of the facelift incision are often minimal and in majority of cases are entirely concealed. Your surgeon will be careful to make the incision along the natural contours of the face. The scars will be difficult to notice, even when viewed closely.

The absolute best in Sydney. I would not go anywhere else to get anything done. Everyone I have encountered at this clinic has been so extremely warm and professional and put in so much time and effort to truly achieve your desired outcome. Can’t recommend this place enough, do not waste your money elsewhere.
